The Roadrunners journeyed down to Monterey for a four-day rally. We camped at the Monterey County Fairgrounds.
We began with an evening of sharing heavy Hors D’oeuvres on arrival night, giving all the cooks a much appreciated night off.

Most of us made reservations to visit the world renowned Monterey Bay Aquarium.. The newest exhibit, Into the Deep; Exploring Our Undiscovered Ocean was fascinating.

Our more energetic members did some sea-kayaking and biking in Fort Ord. A few of us chartered a sail boat for an exhilarating afternoon sail. There was whale watching, driving 17-mile drive and exploring Old Monterey and Carmel. In other words, we were busy!
We all enjoyed a waffle breakfast and pizza dinner and a final meal together in an excellent nearby restaurant. We’ve decided that Monterey might just be an annual rally.
