Return to Pismo Beach

Pismo Beach is a favorite rally location for the Rossmoor Roadrunners. And October is about the perfect time to linger here for a week, which we did this year. The Pismo Sands RV Resort provided us a nice clubhouse for our gatherings. These included a wonderful brunch and several other meals and happy hours. With our Wagon Masters Dolores and Tony in charge, we knew we would be well fed and entertained.

The RV park offered "tiny houses" for rent so our members that still love to travel with us but no longer have an RV can join us on our rallys.

We did have an evening at the Great American Melodrama Theater and we also enjoyed Taco Night at the Elks Lodge. Dolores gave us plenty of free time to explore the area on our own or in small groups. Nearby Avila Beach and San Luis Obispo attracted several of us as did the eateries and shopping of Pismo Beach and Arroyo Grande. Others were drawn to the natural wonder of Guadalupe-Nipomo Dunes and the birds and boardwalk at Oso Flaco Lake.

We had a fantastic farewell banquet at the colorful A J Spurs Saloon and Dining Hall. Everyone seemed to leave with enough leftovers for the trip home. It is always a little sad to say "adios" at our last rally of the year, but before you know it, we'll be putting together another year of week long rallys, shorter rallys and social events.
