Winter Rally in Paso Robles

The recent Paso Robles area RV RALLY attended by many Rossmoor Roadrunners was a huge success. The rally was planned for late January as it is prime Elephant Seal viewing near Cambria/San Simeon area beaches. Club members were treated to “up close and personal” views of hundreds of attentive females caring for their new born seal pups, and hearing dozens of 5000 pound males vocally guarding their seaside harems.

Club members also enjoyed a group picnic, wine tasting, and an art walk in the expansive and truly unique sculpture garden at Sculpterra Winery in Paso Robles. We toasted good food, great fiends and amazing art as we enjoyed our potluck picnic fare.

During the week together our intrepid RVers, fortified by a delicious welcome dinner upon their arrival, enjoyed sunny days and mild temperatures visiting Paso area restaurants and museums ( the Carnegie Library, for example) antiquing in downtown shops, wine tasting and dining at several wineries (Cass and Daou we’re favorites).

We had a farewell evening of gourmet pizza, a corn hole competition, and great conversation to say our goodbyes.
